Bess is a gorgeous dark chocolate lab with an enthusiastic willingness to work in the field and in the obedience ring. At 75 lbs she has produced two litters of spectacular chocolate pups both sired by Master Hunters. She herself achieved her Junior Hunter title running four consecutive tests and a completed title on March 9, 1996. The following year on, August 2, 1997, she completed her CD obedience title. She was honored with a first place in her Novice Class A at the Asheville Kennel Club as well as a win for highest scoring Labrador Retriever in Regular Classes at the same event on June 15, 1997. The following year she achieved two legs toward her CDX title as well as winning Best Brace in Show with her brother Beauregard at the Labrador Retriever Club of the Piedmont Specialty on February 14, 1998. She is continuing her training toward the completion of her CDX title and is handling in the field in preparation for Senior Hunt Tests later this year. Bess is an affectionate, loving dog who enjoys people and working both in the field and on the farm where she lives with six other Labs as well as sheep, goats, and chickens.
News: Bess completed her CDX obedience title at the Asheville Kennel Club show on June 17, 2000 taking a second place ribbon in her Open A class.
