CH Stepamgar's Sundance Kid "Sonny" acquired his first show points at the age of thirteen months and went on to complete his Bench Championship. Princess Grace's pedigree includes such acclaimed dogs as FC-AFC Ginger's Chocolate August, Charway John Brown and CH Fantasy's Excalibur of Pax UD, JH. A dog with exceptional intelligence and strong drive, Gracie has now retired from whelping pups and is an active hunting dog in Alabama.
Beauregard is a big fellow, 90 pounds of very dark chocolate with a beautiful blocky head. He has Sonny's gentle temperament and mellow disposition, is extremely intelligent and very willing to learn and obey commands. With a natural instinct for retrieving Beau achieved his Junior Hunt title in four consecutive tests on May 24, 1996 before he was a year old. He then went on to acquire his first obedience title, a CD on June 15, 1997 at the age of two years.
A year later on July 24, 1998 he acquired his third leg in open for a CDX obedience title. Additionally in the fall of '97 he received his first Senior Hunter win and a second leg the following year on October 18, 1998. During this period he was also being shown in Brace with his older sister Sweet Bess JH, CD. Together they took Best Brace in Show at the Labrador Retriever Club of the Piedmont Specialty in February 1998.
As a titled Therapy Dog Beau enjoys visiting hospitals and schools where he is a favorite among young and old. Whether he is in the field hunting, in the obedience ring or just being a good companion, Beau puts his whole heart into pleasing those around him. It is this quality above all else which makes Beauregard such a special lab. Beau has a DNA profile on file. His stud fee is $600.
News: Beau completed three legs of his Senior Hunter title this spring with excellent marking and handling to obtain his Senior Hunter title at the Middle Tennessee Test on May 19, 2000.
